No, the thickness of the European Oak top layer doesn’t determine its hardness. A 6mm layer of European Oak is no tougher than a 2mm layer. In fact, a thicker top layer may result in deeper dents.

Floating floors can be installed over concrete slabs or timber joists with ground beneath. However, the specific construction of your home determines the necessary preparations. If your home has a joist construction, additional moisture protection may be required. Floors should never be installed over damp subfloors.

Care & Maintenance

Regular sweeping, vacuuming, or using a microfibre mop with a Laminate & Timber Flooring cleaning solution will keep your floor in top condition. Avoid using general household cleaners, as they may cause damage.

Several factors influence how often your floor needs cleaning, such as foot traffic, exterior conditions, and the presence of pets. Yes, but to minimize wear and tear:

  • Keep your pet’s nails trimmed or take them on regular walks on concrete to blunt their nails.
  • Use mats at entryways to reduce dirt and scratches.
  • Regularly sweep, vacuum, and dry mop your floors.
  • Place pet food and water bowls away from timber flooring and use mats to catch spills.
  • Clean pet accidents immediately, as urine can stain timber floors and leave a lasting odor.
